Lassen County Animal Shelter Looking for Volunteers

The Lassen County Animal Shelter needs your help socializing and finding homes for a rapidly growing number of homeless
dogs and cats.

You are invited to join the Shelter’s volunteer program today. Meet neighbors, make new friends, and learn the best ways to help prepare dogs who are lost, abandoned or orphaned in Lassen County for adoption in new caring and forever homes.

Donating just a couple of hours a week can make a huge difference for these special pets. You can help these lost,
unwanted, or uncared for dogs learn how to trust and communicate better with people. With your help they will be prepared for adoption as loving members of forever families.

Learn how you can help provide safe and secure homes for loving and deserving dogs and cats in our area by contacting Jackie Earnshaw, Volunteer Coordinator for the Lassen County Animal Shelter at 530.257.3161. Jackie founded SitSpot Canine Center and has been proudly serving the regions dog community since 2004.

If you love dogs and have a couple of spare hours a week. Call Jackie and learn how you can help these wonderful animals find their new homes.

Featured animals at the Lassen County Animal Shelter are available for adoption on a first-come-first-serve basis. According to California law, all adoptable dogs and cats must be spayed and neutered before leaving our facility. If interested in adopting an animal, please contact the shelter directly.

Current shelter hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. Closed Saturday and Sunday. You can contact the shelter at 530.257.9200.
