The Lassen County Arts Council, whose major goals include supporting youth in our community, are looking for 2016 high school graduates who are interested in pursuing higher education in the area of arts. The Arts Council is offering a $500 scholarship which will be awarded to one of the qualified applicants.
The scholarship is being offered to any student who plans to pursue a career in Fine Arts, Studio Art, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Animation, Film, Fashion, Photography, Dance, Culinary Arts, Game Design or Web Design.
Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college or university and a minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.
Students applying for the scholarship must complete an application form and write a one to two page autobiography that includes the following details: your reason for applying for this scholarship, choice of college, education plan, major and future profession.
Additionally, students will be asked to provide details about their school, community, and work activities, including community service.
