The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce sends word that the Chamber mixer planned for Thursday, August 23rd hosted by Sierra Jewelry Company and co-hosted by Edward Jones Investments, Carla Parsons has been cancelled due to anticipated poor air quality.
They had planned to hold the mixer outside as both businesses have very limited indoor space.
Chamber Executive Assistant Lisa Bernard explained that the Chamber was notified that back burning operations on the Chips fire will take place Thursday afternoon, causing worse smoke conditions than yesterday and making any outdoor activity a health hazard.
