Lassen Lady Grizz Basketball presents Camp Grizz 2023 starts June 19 – 22 from 8:30 to 12:30p.m. $75 per Camp Grizz. Camp Grizz is a basketball camp for Boys and Girls ages 7 (or going into 2nd grade) – 11 years old. More information on their facebook page.

Cha-Chas Tacos and Those Buns Dough is hosting a Drive-Up lunch and dinner at 50 N. Gay Street, on Thursday, June 22nd. Lunch will be from 11:00-2:00p.m., or Dinner from 5:00 – 7:00p.m. Pre-order tickets are available. Contact Cha Chas Tacos or Those Buns Dough and pick up a ticket.

Susanville Best of Broadway’s Annual BOB-B-Q Announcement of 2024 Concert Series Lineup. Thursday, June 22nd at 5:30p.m., at Susanville Memorial Park. Past, Present, and Future Broadway families are welcome to attend. RSVP on Facebook event page. Hotdogs, hamburgers, and water provided. Please bring a side or dessert to share if you are able.

Lassen County Arts Council Summer Art Program, June 26th-30th from 9:00 – 12:00p.m., Monday and Tuesday, ages 5 and Up and Wednesday through Friday, ages 9 and up. An instructional art jam with local instructors Rob and Danielle Cannon. Register online by June 1st for a $10 discount.

Soaring Eagle Blue Star Moms are having a Firecracker and Freedom Bingo Convention Fundraiser on Thursday, June 29th at 6:00 at the Veteran’s Hall. $5 per bundle, beverages, and snacks available for purchase. In conjunction with this Convention Fundraiser, they are also having a drawing for a cord of wood. Tickets are $20 a piece. The winner will be drawn on the night of Bingo. Paul Bunyan Mountain & Blues Festival is on Saturday, July 1st. Gate Entry is $5 all ages, children’s area not included in admission price. Lassen County 4-H BBQ, Tuesday, July 18th at Lassen County Fairgrounds from 5:00 to 6:30p.m. Tickets can be purchased from a 4-H member or at the 4-H office at 707 Nevada Street, Susanville. $15/Ticket (all ages). Tri-Tip, salad, baked potato, roll, dessert, and a Drink. Benefits EVERY Club in Lassen County and funds scholarships and educational events. Lassen Land & Trails Trust presents Nature Camp Day Camp 2023. Session 1: 8-10 years old from July 10th-14th and Session 2: 10-12 years old from July 24th-28th. Chimney Fund’s annual Backwoods BBQ Competition. Looking for teams to sign up to compete. Donation Entry fee is $50. Cooking starts at 7:00a.m. Judging is at 12:00p.m., and tasting begins at 1:00p.m. Chimney Fund provides teams with Tri-Tip, Ribs, and 1/2 Chicken. Tasting kits are $7. In our community, Lassen College presents a unique opportunity to engage in various enriching discussions with their free lunchtime lecture series. The series takes place every Tuesday from 11:30 to 12:30p.m., at the Lassen Library District conference room on Main Street. These weekly, hour-long sessions delve into diverse topics ranging from practical skills such as writing effective professional emails and starting a small business, to crowd-pleaser topics including beekeeping and the mysterious world of spiders. They even cover critical issues like managing financial worries and cyber-awareness skills for the whole family. For a special treat, they also offer beginner and intermediate classes in AI with ChatGPT. All are invited to join these free, educational events. Join the fun with Bottle & Brush Art Bar for their New Summer Schedule for Trivia Night. They’re moving to once-a-month schedule for Trivia Night for the next few months, starting in May. Join us for the Budgeting and More Life Skills Course. Every Monday 4:00 – 5:00p.m., at Lassen Family Services, 1306 Riverside Drive in Susanville. This week’s topic: Exploring Financial Literacy. Calvary Kids Storytime, 450 Richmond Rd., Susanville, CA. Every Tuesday from 1:00-2:00p.m. Bring your kids to a Safe, Peaceful place where they can be a kid.
