Welcome the Christmas season with us at the December Chamber mixer that will be hosted by the Plumas Bank, located at 3000 Riverside Drive, Susanville, Thursday, December 4th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. You do not need to be a chamber member to attend; everyone is welcomed to enjoy a fun evening with friends and business associates.
Make plans to bring the family out to the 9th Annual “Magical Country Christmas” that will be held on Saturday, December 6, from 5 to 7pm, in Historic Uptown Susanville, the upper portion of Main Street will be closed to thru traffic. The event will include dance and musical presentations, Santa’s Grand Entrance Parade, Christmas tree lighting, and fireworks. Lassen County “Toys for Tots” will be on hand throughout the day collecting toys. Area businesses will be open late with special sales and promotions. Food and beverages will be available.
The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill one board vacancy; the 3 year term will begin in January 2015. Chamber members who are interested in serving on the board are encouraged to apply. The Chamber has ordered 2015 Labor Law posters which feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. They are available for sale to Chamber members for $25each poster / or non-members for $35 per poster. California employers and businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster reserved for your business.
