The Chamber is pleased to announce the election of new officers for the 2015 year; President Matthew Pregill, Pregill Insurance, Vice President Rod Chambers, Owner/ General Manager Sierra Broadcasting, Corp., and Treasurer Amanda McGarva, Pezzullo and Gussett, CPA’s. Thank you to outgoing President Kathie Garnier, American Pacific Mortgage, and outgoing Treasurer Richard Parker, Integrated Insurance Broker, for their dedication and outstanding service to the Chamber this past year.
The Chamber is also pleased to welcome Bill Payer, Manager of Tractor Supply, to the board of directors. Bill was elected at the December 11th board meeting and will begin his 3 year board term in January 2015. Please join us in welcoming him aboard.
Susan Ward, of Edward Jones, announced her resignation from the board as she is leaving the area to accept a position in Chico. We thank her for the many hours of service and commitment while serving on the board, she will be missed. The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill one board vacancy. Mark your calendar and plan to attend Lassen Co. Chamber of Commerce 127th Annual Chamber Membership Dinner and Awards Night, to be held on Friday, February 27, 2015, 6pm, at Lassen Steaks. The Chamber board is seeking nominations for “Chamber Member of the Year”, “Chamber Business of the Year”, “Volunteer of the Year”. Please submit your written nominations for any of these awards by January 6, 2015.
The Chamber has received the order of 2015 Labor Law posters which feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. California employers and businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Stop by the Chamber office, 75 North Weatherlow Street, to purchase one for your business. Limited quantities are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
