With no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lassen County the Lassen County Public Health Department, the Lassen County Office of Emergency Services and the City of Susanville are thanking residents for adhering to Governor Newsom’s Executive Order and the State Health Order issued on March 19th.
“By volunteering to shelter-in place and only travel outside for necessities, each individual in our community can do their part to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” the agencies said in a joint statement issued Saturday afternoon.
“At this point, Lassen County Public Health, Lassen County Office of Emergency Services, and the City of Susanville want to thank and recognize the sacrifice of our residents and local businesses as they modify their daily activities or temporarily close their doors. Residents of Lassen County are asked to be patient and support our local business as they transition and adapt to the recommendations put forth by the state.”
“Many small businesses have closed their doors for the sake of our community,” the statement continues. “Patrons are staying home to do their part. Restaurants have converted their sit down establishments to delivery or take-out. We commend and continue to appreciate the cooperation by our local business and their patrons.”
Those who have yet to comply to the statewide recommendations and the health order are strongly encouraged to seek guidance from the Lassen County Public Health Department.
