Need a ride to get vaccinated? You can ride any Lassen Rural Bus route for free to get your COVID-19 vaccine or, you can schedule a free shuttle from your home in Lassen County to a vaccination location within the county.
If you live in Susanville, Lake Forest, Westwood, Clear Creek, Herlong, Doyle, Janesville, Johnstonville, Leavitt Lake, Milford, Eagle Lake, Standish or Litchfield LRB asks that you give them 24-hour notice to schedule a shuttle. If you are outside their service territory, in areas such as Bieber, Ravendale and Madeline, they ask that you give them 48-hour notice to schedule a shuttle.
If you want to take a regular route for free to get your vaccine, please show the driver your vaccination appointment or if you go to a walk-in location, please show the driver your proof of vaccination on the return trip.
If you would like to schedule a free shuttle, call 1.530.252.7433. You will need to show the driver a vaccination appointment before the trip or a proof of vaccination before the return trip.
LRB is encouraging people who live more than 15-miles from Susanville to schedule trips with friends or family. Please note that passengers on public transit are required to wear a mask.
The program has been put in place, according to LRB, because, as a recipient of federal aid, they want to reduce a possible ‘transportation barrier’ for those who want to get vaccinated, and to support access to the COVID-19 vaccine.
