Lassen High tenth graders will play host to a very special guest Thursday evening in the school’s library. The students, who are studying the Jewish Holocaust, will welcome Siegrid Smith whose mother was a Holocaust survivor. Smith will share stories and answer questions from 6:00 to 7:00p.m.
Ms. Compton’s tenth grade class has recently finished reading the award-winning book ‘Night’ by Elie Wiesel, a firsthand account of the author’s experience in Nazi concentration camps near the end of World War Two. Wiesel and his father were at Auschwitz and then Buchenwald in 1944 and 1945.
