Lassen Community College will be celebrating both Black History and Women’s History Months this Wednesday, March 15th, as they present a special free showing of the 20th Century Fox film Hidden Figures at the Sierra Theatre.
The movie is the fairly true-to-life story of Katherine G. Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson – a team of African-American women mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the United States space program.
The visionary trio crossed all gender and race lines to inspire generations to dream big.
Admission to the special matinee showing, at 3:30, is free. Popcorn and a beverage will be provided for attendees.
