The Susanville Symphony will again bring glad tidings and the holiday spirit to town with its annual Christmas Concert performances tonight and tomorrow, December 20th and 21st. Tonight’s performance is at 7:00, Saturday’s is at 5:00p.m. and limited tickets are still available for both.
Symphony Artistic Director, and Conductor Ben Wade promises a very upbeat Christmas show this year.
“After the beautiful and very classical Christmas concert last year, The Messiah, and capitalizing on the energy and excitement of the swing band concert in October,” explains Wade, “this year’s holiday concert will be rockin’ from start to finish.”
For lovers of the swing band era there will be four new pieces that will debut, from Let it Snow to Santa Baby.
Classical music lovers will be delighted by three movements of the nutcracker.
“For the traditional holiday chart toppers we have Sleigh Ride, a Christmas Festival and Bugler’s Holiday.
Wade called the upcoming performances a concert for all ages with something for everyone and will feature the entire audience in a Christmas carol sing-along at the end.
Performances are held at the Susanville Assembly of God Church on Richmond Road and premium seats are $30 each, general admission is $22 and you can buy tickets at Margie’s Book Nook or Axia Home Loans. For more information call the Symphony Hotline at 530.310.8111.
