Work on New Depot Going Slowly
December 27, 1927

Although the workmen at the new Southern Pacific depot have been unable to do much work lately due to the cold weather, a group of plasters was at work Wednesday in an attempt to complete the exterior of the building before the weather gets cold again.

The front of the building has been completed and the last coat on the back was being applied Wednesday. The west end is yet to be started.

In the interior the plastering has been finished and the doors recently hung but the floors have not yet been laid.

Unless warm weather persists, and the workmen get a chance to turn in some consistent work, it will probably be some time before the building is completed and ready for use.
