February 27th, 1931

Local authorities were today awaiting the return of “Bish” Maurer and Lee Gibbons, two youths suspected of being connected with the robbery of a local grocery store Wednesday night.

A bandit entered the store owned by G. L. Webb with a revolver in his hand a handkerchief over his eyes and scooped $60 from the cash register shortly before closing time.

Mauer is a former resident here, and Gibbons came here early last week from Salt Lake City. They were arrested at Woodland.
