A talented young craftsman, prompted by the tragic killing of five Dallas police officers in July of last year, has created a work of art dedicated to Lassen County Sheriff’s deputies that will hang in the Sheriff’s office on Cady Lane. The stylized American flag on a wood background is the creation of Ethan Neves.
“Ethan Neves blessed us today by bringing us a project he built for the Sheriff’s Office,” said Sheriff Dean Growdon on social media Wednesday.
“He told me he was moved to do something for us after the events in Dallas last summer that resulted in the murder of 5 police officers. We will display it with pride in our squad room. Thank you Ethan.”
“I made the flag as a thank you to the Sheriffs Deputies for everything they do for the county,” said Neves, “and I plan on making one for the police department as well.”
