The National Association of Letter Carriers held its annual national food drive last Saturday, with local postal folks collecting an amazing 3,060 pounds of canned goods and non-perishable foodstuffs from area doorsteps.
The Stamp Out Hunger food drive, which was first held in 1983, is the country’s largest one-day food drive, providing residents with an easy way to donate food to those millions of Americans in need.
All donations made locally to the food drive stay right here in our community, helping out the Salvation Army and Crossroads Ministries.
