According to Terry Thornton from the Department of Corrections, Loren Herzog, the convicted killer who made headlines in 2010 after being paroled to High Desert State Prison was found dead around 12:30 a.m. this morning.
Officials were notified when Herzog’s GPS tracking device, a requirement of his parole, showed a ‘low battery’ warning. Upon investigation correctional officers found Herzog hanging.
Channel 10 in Sacramento is reporting that no suicide note was found and Thornton could not confirm whether Herzog was found hanging outside or inside the trailer.
