Love the outdoors? Looking for summer adventures?
Lassen Land and Trails Trust Summer Nature Day Camp program provides children ages 8-12 years old an opportunity to explore our amazing Lassen County ‘home’ and its great diversity of natural resources.
Campers learn about natural resources, wildlife, history and how to be safe in the out-of-doors from resource professionals. Additionally they make new friends, learn new skills and gain a greater understanding of the world around them.
Children discover all that makes their Lassen County home unique. Each day at camp, staff and regional natural resource professionals take campers hiking, climbing, swimming to learn about the hydrology, wildlife, ranching and farming heritage, botany, archeology and geology of our region.
Curriculum is designed to complement the state’s core curriculum for elementary school. Lassen Land and Trails Trusts’ Nature Camp is ‘hands on’ learning at its best!
There are two sessions offered, which are July 22nd-26th and July 29th–August 2nd. Registration is $80 per week per child and includes lunch and snacks.
A limited number of scholarships are available for families who qualify. If you would like to donate to the scholarship fund, please call the Trust at (530) 257-3252. Lassen Municipal Utility District is a generous supporter of Nature Camp.
