Talented local harpist Megan Glucklich was awarded first-place Thursday Evening as the Susanville Sunrise Rotary Club hosted the Area One Rotary Youth Music Contest at Eagle Lake Village Senior Living Community.
Each year the two Rotary Clubs of Susanville split duties with the Noon Rotary Club producing the Area Speech Contest, and The Sunrise Rotary Club overseeing the Area Music Contest. Rotary District Area One is comprised of rotary Clubs from Chester, Westwood, and the two Susanville Clubs.
The winner of music and the speech contests receive cash awards and go on to compete at the Rotary District Conference in Reno on May 14th.
Organizers thanked everyone who made this event possible.
