Get ready to pitch in and protect our planet! The Smoke Free High Country Project and the Lassen County Tobacco Use Prevention Program are teaming up to host a 2025 Earth Day Park Clean-Up tomorrow, April 26th, from 1:30 to 3:30p.m. in Memorial Park.
This year’s clean-up will feature a special focus on the safe disposal of harmful waste with their “Dump the Nicotine Waste Event.” Community members are encouraged to bring their unwanted vape cartridges, chew cans and cigarette butts for proper disposal.
Organizers emphasize that nicotine and tobacco products are toxic waste and encourage everyone to “Save the planet by dumping them today!”
The event promises to be a fun and engaging way to contribute to a cleaner environment, with activities, prizes, and refreshments available for participants. Organizers extended a special thank you to the participating Lassen College students for their involvement.
