Michael John Gress passed away on February 20, 2024 at his home in Janesville Ca. He was born May 14, 1956 in Boise Idaho to John and Lois Gress. The family lived in New Meadows, Idaho before moving to Susanville CA in March, 1967.
Mike was a lover of the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mike had many friends and was always someone they could count on for help in any situation.
He worked at Sierra Pacific, Collins Pine and the Sierra Army Depot. He graduated
from Lassen High School in 1974. He married the love of his life, Susan Hunt on
October 24th, 1981. Together, they had 2 children, Brandon and Heidi.
Mike is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susan Gress, son Brandon Gress, daughter
Heidi Ardito (Tony), three granddaughters, Jessi, Brandi and Rylie, two sisters,
Phyllis Wilson and Darla Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, John
Gress and Lois Roberts.
