Firefighters from the Susanville Fire Department, along with support from a host of local agencies, were dispatched to an early morning fire Wednesday that threatened surrounding homes and completely destroyed a garage and a motor home on Plum Street.
At around 4:00a.m., according to details provided by the SFD, Engine 621 and automatic aid from Cal-FIRE and mutual Aid from the CCC Fire Department responded to 804 Cypress Avenue for a reported structure fire.
“E621 from the Susanville Fire Department arrived on scene and found a detached garage and a motor home fully involved, threatening two adjacent homes,” explains SFD Fire Captain Kalvn McFarland.
