A Minden, Nevada woman was injured Wednesday evening after the vehicle she was driving overturned and came to rest in the southbound lane of Highway 139 north of Susanville.
The driver, 19 year-old Heather West, was travelling southbound near the summit of Antelope Grade when her 2006 Hyundai entered a left hand curve at about 55mph.
According to the California Highway Patrol’s report the vehicle drifted to the right and West aggressively applied the brakes. The Hyundai continued down one embankment and up another before rolling onto its side and coming to rest in the roadway.
The report also notes that West was properly seat-belted at the time of the accident and she suffered only minor injuries. She was transported to Lassen Medical Center.
