One Arrested as Susanville Police Conduct Registration and Compliance Checks

On October 15th members of the Susanville Police Department, with the assistance of members from the High Desert State Prison ISU unit, conducted a Sex Offender and Arson registration compliance check within the city limits of Susanville.

Approximately 18 registered offenders were contacted including those currently on Parole according to Susanville Police Captain Ryan Cochran.

Charges will be forwarded to the Lassen County District Attorney’s Office on those found in violation of their registration or parole requirements.

“During the compliance check,” said Cochran, “officers contacted a 52-year-old male subject who dispatch confirmed had three outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Glenn County.”

“This subject was taken into custody and booked into the Lassen County Jail, where he will be awaiting transfer to Glenn County. Officers also conducted a traffic stop between compliance checks, which yielded three additional arrests, two for possession of drug paraphernalia, and one for an outstanding felony warrant out of Lassen County.”
