On Friday, October 11th, on the lawn at the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office, Lassen Family Services’ annual Law Enforcement Wreath Laying ceremony was held to honor the memory of Lassen County Deputy Larry Griffith, Susanville Police Officer Robert McElrath, Modoc County Deputy Jack Hopkins and other law enforcement personnel who put their lives on the line to protect victims of crime and to end domestic violence in our community.

Speakers included Lassen County Sheriff John McGarva, Susanville Police Lieutenant Alan Sobol and Modoc County Corrections Bailiff Ken Simon. Deputy Jack Hopkins’ mother Carol also spoke at the ceremony.

The annual wreath-laying is one of several events that Lassen Family Services hosts each October to raise awareness during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
