It was an emotional ceremony Thursday morning in front of the Lassen County Jail as local law enforcement agencies, first responders and the public joined Lassen Family Services for a special wreath laying ceremony honoring the memory of Deputy Larry Griffith, Officer Robert McElrath and all law enforcement personnel who put their lives on the line to protect victims of crime and to end domestic violence in our community.
Speakers included LFS Executive Director Melissa Downing, Lassen County Sheriff Dean Growdon and Susanville Police Chief Tom Downing.
The ceremony is one of several events that Lassen Family Services is hosting in October to raise awareness during National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
