The inaugural Susanville Pickleball Tournament was a resounding success, drawing players from throughout Northern California and beyond. A total of 48 players, organized into 12 four-person teams, competed in a round-robin format with semi-finals and a final.
The tournament was held at the Memorial Courts in Susanville, which recently underwent a much-praised resurfacing project, providing players with six top-quality pickleball courts.
Players hailed from Chico, Grass Valley, Reno, Burney, and Susanville, showcasing the widespread appeal of the sport.
The championship was ultimately clinched by Team Bryan, comprised of Bryan Golledge, Lana Hastey, Chelsea Stoy, and Jerry Jones. They emerged victorious in the final against Team Patrick, winning by a score of 3-1.
The tournament was organized by the Lassen Pickleball Club and generously sponsored by Western Nevada Supply.
