Mrs. Heimbigner’s 5th Grade Class from Richmond Elementary School left their classroom and took off on an adventurous Northern California volcanic and historical tour last week.
The trip included stops at Burney Falls State Park, Medicine Lake, Glass Mountain and Lava Bed’s National Monument.
While at Lava Bed’s National Monument students explored various caves such as Skull Cave, Valentine Cave and many others on Cave Loop.
The 5th graders spent the night camping at Indian Wells campground with some very silly and fun campfire songs and received a guided tour of Captain Jack’s Stronghold on the way home.
