Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative is asking customers to conserve power this evening in the wake of weather related outages across the utility’s service area.
Donna Mills, Marketing and Member Services Manager for PSREC, issued the following message a short time ago:
“PSREC’s system is currently up and holding. PSREC has experienced a number of system-wide outages due to a fault on PSREC’s transmission line. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask members to bear with us, and conserve as much as possible.”
“PSREC crews are patrolling lines in rugged terrain to find the fault. Crews are hiking in with snow shoes. These intermittent outages will likely continue into the night, until we locate the root cause of the fault, so, please, please conserve!”
