Susanville Police Detectives sought an arrest warrant for a Kenneth James Eugene Kelly, according to Chief Tom Downing, as part of their investigation into the thefts.
On the afternoon of January 17th, at around 4:45, a Police Sergeant observed Kelly walking on Alexander Avenue near Cornell Street.
“The Sergeant was aware that Kelly had an active arrest warrant for his arrest,” said Downing in a statement released this morning. “He was subsequently arrested on the warrant for the charges of burglary and receiving stolen property.”
Kelly was booked into the Lassen County Jail on the charges and is being held on $25,000 bail. The case has been referred to the Lassen County District Attorney for review.
