The Susanville Police Department is reporting that one person was injured as the result of a Sunday evening shooting near a Hall Street apartment complex.
At around 7:00 on December 6th, according to details provided by the SPD, officers responded to the area after receiving reports that shots had been fired.
“While en route to the location,” explains Police Captain Ryan Cochran, “dispatch informed officers that one subject had been struck by the gun fire.”
When officers arrived they located one victim who had been shot in his lower extremities.
“Officers were able to secure the scene which allowed for the Susanville Fire Department and SEMSA personnel to arrive on scene and treat the victim for their injuries.”
The victim was transported to Banner Lassen Medical Center for further treatment of their injuries.
According to Cochran officers canvased the area for any potential witnesses and collected evidence from the scene of the shooting.
