Richard Garoppo
Richard Garoppo went to his heavenly father on December 2, 2015 in Susanville, CA. Born October 13, 1932 in Herndon, CA. He was a Captain in the United States Air Force. Dick and Babe square danced with the Susanville Center Wheelers and made many friends along the way. He served the community of Susanville as a local locksmith for 26 years. He retired in 2012 because of kidney failure and was doing dialysis.
Richard is survived by his wife (Babe) Adelaide Garoppo of Susanville, Daughter Peggy Hart of Eugene, Oregon , sons Michael Garoppo of Susanville, CA, Michael Prieto of Fresno, CA, Gary Stribling of San Jose, CA and David Stribling of Tualatin, Oregon and eleven Grandchildren and nine Great Grandchildren.
There will be a mass at Sacred Heart Church at 120 N. Union Street Susanville, CA on December 9, 2015 at 11:00 am followed by a military service at Diamond Crest Cemetery then back to Sacred Heart Church in the Monsignor Hall for a reception.
Richard will be missed by all of his family, fellow square dancers and friends.
