Richmond 4H of Lassen County: Meet Our Kids

Stop by the Lassen County Fair This Week and Say Hello!

Hi! I am Megan von Helf and this is my market lamb Captain. I am in Richmond 4-H and I will be at the Lassen County Fair with my 4 lambs. I am taking another market Lamb a breeding ewe and ram to fair this year. I also raised a Holstein calf named Spin. Be sure to come check out my lambs at the lamb show Wednesday the 19th at 8 AM, and the dairy cattle show Friday afternoon. I have worked hard all year and can’t wait to see you there!

Hi my name is Hayley Wattenburg and I am 13 years old. This is my first year in 4H and first year showing pigs. This is my pig Buddy. He is a Hampshire cross breed. What I enjoy the most about Buddy is giving him baths. This year I will be showing Buddy and selling him at the Junior Livestock Auction on Sunday, July 23. The auction begins at 8:30am at the Lassen County Fairgrounds Livestock Pavilion and I encourage you to attend. Come on down and check out all the livestock at the Lassen County Fair. Hello my name is Adyson Glenn and this is my first year in Richmond 4-H. I will be showing my lamb Biscuit on Wednesday 7/19 and Sunday 7/23 at the Junior Livestock Auction! I hope to see you there!

Hello my name is Derek Cook. This is my second year in Richmond 4-H and the poultry project. I would like to invite you to come meet my adorable Emden geese (Ryan Gosling and Dewy) along with so many beautiful birds. Stop by the Poultry barn and say ‘hello’ or come to the Junior Livestock Auction at your chance to own one of these tasty beautiful birds. See you there!

My name is Molly Dickson. This is my 10th year in Richmond 4-H and the poultry project. I will be taking two meat pens of broiler chickens and a turkey to the the Lassen County Fair. This yeas I have enjoyed being the teen leader and planning our project meetings. Its always fun to get together with members who like fowl as much as I do. Hello! My name is John Ammon, and I would like to introduce you to my whether Murple. It has been an exciting 4th year showing sheep for me, and I have learned a lot between competing at the Stateline Spectacular Show, attending many showmanship practices, and working with my breeder Debi Savage In 4H, I am also the Sargent of Arms and show my pet chickens. I would like to invite you to the sheep show to watch all of 4H and FFAs hard work on Wednesday the 18th, as well as the auction on Sunday the 23rd.
