The Lassen County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public comment regarding their participation in the California State Parks Off-Highway Vehicle Grant Program. The 2019/2020 preliminary applications are available for review at http://ohv.parks.ca.gov. The public review period will be March 3rd, 2020 through May 4th, 2020.

“During this grant cycle,” explains Sergeant Russell, “the Sheriff’s Office plans to acquire two dirt-specific motorcycles. We have seen increased usage of our off-highway vehicle areas, which now have added amenities. These motorcycles will provide access to difficult terrain and assistance for several coordinated events that have consistently drawn hundreds of people, including spectators and competitors.”
Public input may be expressed during an open meeting on Tuesday, March 24th, at 5:00p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office, located at 1415 Sheriff Cady Lane, Susanville.
