Stand Up Against Child Abuse Event Tomorrow at Lassen Family Services

During the month of April, we recognize National Child Abuse Prevention Month, an initiative rooted in communities working together to serve children and their families in meaningful, impactful ways that provide families what they need to thrive, even throughout adversity.

Lassen Family Services has special events planned to all month long, with a focus on educating and raising awareness about the impact that child abuse has on children and society.

Stand Up Against Child Abuse on Saturday
To kick off the month-long bid to raise awareness, Lassen Family Services has a big event planned for Saturday morning at their offices on Riverside Drive. The free, family-friendly event is designed to create positive interactions with emergency personnel, while enjoying games, activities and food.

Come hang out with some of the most fun people in Susanville! Dandy the Dragon, Jeremy the Germ, Smokey Bear, Fluoride the Bunny and Susanville Mayor Quincy McCourt.

Check out static vehicle displays like CHP Patrol Units, fire trucks, Forest Service Law Enforcement.

Stuff to do will include face painting, blue handprints on canvas, painting pinwheels, fingerprint kits and lawn activities.

The free event will be held tomorrow, April 1st, from 10:00a.m., until 2:00p.m., at 1306 Riverside Drive.
