It’s time for Fire Truck Rides! October is National Fire Prevention Month and the Susanville Fire Department is inviting everyone to stop by for their fun-filled, family-oriented annual Open House at the Fire hall on Main Street October 12th.
The theme of this year’s Fire Prevention Month is, “Not Every Hero Wears a Cape. Plan and Practice Your Escape!” and the folks at the Susanville Fire Department will be helping to educate everyone about the small but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe.

The event, which runs from 10:00a.m. until 2:00p.m., will feature demonstrations, tours, fire engine rides, prizes and giveaways.
