The Susanville Indian Rancheria’s Tribal Government Liaison Committee will present a free community screening of “Awake: A Dream from Standing Rock,” a documentary film by Academy Award-nominated director Josh Fox, at 6:30p.m., this Friday, April 28th at the SIR Community Building, 745 Joaquin Street.
The documentary chronicles the Native American-led resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline. It premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last Saturday.
Parental Guidance is suggested for those under age 14 as some material may not be suitable for children.
Popcorn and beverages will be available for purchase.
