Susanville Man Arrested After Police K9 Unit Finds Drugs, Paraphernalia and Gun in Car

A Susanville man was arrested November 9th, after an early morning traffic stop and a search of his vehicle by the Police Department’s K9 Unit uncovered drugs, drug paraphernalia and a gun. Officers had pulled the vehicle over for a traffic violation.

“During the stop,” explains Police Chief Kevin Jones, “Officer Hoover and his K-9 Zeke was present to conduct an exterior walk around of the vehicle. Zeke alerted to an area of the car, which resulted in a search of the vehicle.”

Upon searching, officers discovered methamphetamine, paraphernalia and a loaded gun.

The suspect, identified by Police as 32-year old Susanville resident Daniel Arms, was arrested then booked into the Lassen County Jail for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded/concealed firearm.
