The Susanville Police Department is releasing details today behind the arrest of a Susanville resident, 53 year-old Gary Zack, who allegedly discharged a firearm within a residence on North Roop street and then fled the area on foot with a rifle and a shotgun.

According to Police Chief Tom Downing officers from the Susanville Police Department responded to a residence in the 200 block of North Roop Street at around 6:30 Monday evening on a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived they contacted the reporting party who told police that her husband had fired a round from a rifle inside their residence and then fled the area.
