Susanville Police Arrest Man Wanted in Colusa Murder Case

On June 25th, the Susanville Police Department was contacted by the Sutter County District Attorney’s Office requesting assistance in the service of a $1,000,000 arrest warrant for a subject wanted for murder who was thought to be in the Susanville area.

Around 7:50p.m. on Thursday, according to Susanville Police Captain Ryan Cochran, officers from the department were able to locate and arrest the subject in question.

Officers arrested the man, identified as 29-year old Colusa, California resident Tony Daniel Kesterson, for the arrest warrant out of Sutter County which included charges for 187(a) PC, 191.5 (a) PC, 23153(a) VC, 23152(B) VC, and 23578 VC. The arrest was made at a Susanville Main Street location.

Kesterson was booked into the Lassen County Jail on multiple charges without incident.
