A Friday morning traffic stop on Santa Paula Street in Susanville ended with the arrest of two local residents on charges ranging from driving on a suspended license to possession of a controlled substance for sale.
According to Police Lieutenant Matt Wood, at around 9:30a.m., officers from the Susanville Police Department conducted the traffic stop and contacted the driver, 32 year-old Susanville resident Raquel Caldera and her passenger, 24 year-old Terrah Brady, also of Susanville.
“Through the course of the investigation, officers learned that Caldera was driving with a suspended driver’s license,” said Lieutenant Wood. “Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Caldera and Brady were in possession of an undisclosed amount of controlled substances as well as drug paraphernalia.”
Caldera and Brady were taken into custody without incident and booked into the Lassen County jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance, possession of prescription narcotics without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Caldera was also booked for driving on a suspended driver’s license.
