The Susanville Police Department announced this afternoon that a threat made Wednesday against a local private school is ‘no longer credible’ and that the parents of the juvenile who allegedly made the threat are ‘cooperating fully with investigators.’
According to Lieutenant Matt Wood the department received information of a possible threat towards a local private school by one of their students Wednesday, at around 1:00p.m.
“As a result of the investigation,” Wood explained, “the student was contacted and a search warrant served at their residence.”
After being interviewed by investigators the student was released back to their parents, who are said to be fully cooperating with the investigation.
The Susanville Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office and, according to Lieutenant Wood, is continuing to follow up on the incident.
