Susanville Woman Arrested After K9 Officer Zeke Alerts to Drugs During Traffic Stop

A 37-year old Susanville woman was arrested Saturday for possession of controlled substances for transportation after Susanville’s K9 Officer Zeke discovered drugs in a vehicle during a traffic stop in the 200 block of Russell Avenue.

“During the traffic stop K9 Zeke was utilized and made a positive alert on the vehicle,” explains Police Captain Ryan Cochran. “The vehicle was subsequently searched and resulted in 0.96 pounds of methamphetamine and 16.6 grams of suspected heroine being located.”

The driver of the vehicle, identified by the Susanville Police Department as 37-year old Daisy Mayfield, was booked into the Lassen County Jail and is being held on $27,500 bail.
