Lassen Family Services Parenting Group Classes. Reduce the chaos and power struggles; learn an approach to parenting that is both simple and effective. “Positive Parenting with a Plan,” by Matthew A. Johnson, Psy. D., MSW, helps parents establish order and structure in the home, including rewards and positive consequences that work! Designed as a 12-week program, group and individualized instruction is provided on an on-going basis. Group classes are held Tuesdays from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and Fridays from 10:00–11:00 a.m.

Friday Night Live Town Hall. You will hear from local teens from Friday Night Live, with the purpose of speaking on reducing underage accessibility to alcohol, dangers of underage drinking, and plans on reducing underage drinking within our community. Parents, educators, trusted adults who engaged with youth, and all who attend will have an opportunity for discussion to share their thoughts on underage drinking and ways to reduce underage drinking. This free event is open to the public and will be held at Lassen Community College, Middleton Hall, 478-200 CA-139, Susanville, CA 96130 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
