Happy Birthday today to my little brother Casey! He is enjoying sunny San Diego with his daughter Ashley and I hope they are having a great time.
I want to share a little bit of Lassen High’s Homecoming royalty with you today. Apparently they weren’t into posing, so if you got pictures of any of the couples, please send them to me so I can add them. Thank you to Greg Wallace for the photos he did get! All representatives were given a list of Disney questions to respond to.
Our freshman prince and princess are Reegan Dunten and Maddi Johnson. Reegan is the son of Michelle and Tyrone Dunten and Maddi is the daughter of Nicolet Dilts. Prince Reegan says his favorite Disney movie is Tarzan, while Maddi prefers Home on the Range.
The sophomores are represented by prince Sutter Moss, son of Shannon and Jason Moss and Abby Lynn, daughter of Amber and Jimmy Lynn. Abby would choose Pascal the chameleon from Tangled as her Disney sidekick, and Sutter’s would be Mater from Cars.
Junior princess Olivia Ormachea is the daughter of Jen and Bobby Ormachea and junior prince Darrell Wyatt Ulbricht is the son of Sheena and Adam Butler. Olivia says she would like to hang out under the sea with turtles from Finding Nemo.
Darrell says he would prefer the animal kingdom because he can’t swim.
The first senior couple is prince Tanner Purdy and princess Emma West. Tanner, son of Michelle and Scott Purdy, lists Ratatouille as his favorite Disney flick. Emma, daughter of Anna Utt and Shaun Davis West, likes The Little Mermaid.
Princess Desiree Bailey and Prince Jarius Miller are both fans of Ratatouille. Desiree is the daughter of Cheryl and Ray Bailey and Jairus is the son of Stephen and Shannon Miller.
Princess Amanda Fox, daughter of Paul and Melissa Fox, says “You Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story is her favorite Disney song. Prince Juven Reyo III is the son of Judy Shirai. He is a fan of “Let it Go” from Frozen.
LHS Homecoming queen is Jodi Chandler. Jodi is the daughter of Sterling and Alma Chandler. Her favorite Disney movie is The Fox and the Hound. Our Homecoming King is Grant Mallery. Grant is the son of Terry and Ranielle Mallery. His favorite Disney movie is Cars.
Congratulations to all our Homecoming Royalty!
Don’t forget, this Friday and Saturday night is Dancing for a Brand New Me! Tickets are available at Margie’s and Lassen Family Services. The stars and pros have been working for months and are ready to shine onstage.
Remember when news was ‘newsy’? When you read about weddings, family events and engagement announcements in the newspaper? If you have something that might be newsworthy, please submit it to [email protected] and I’ll do my best to include it here in “The Good Stuff.”
