Following a weekend of the Nutcracker and a Magical Country Christmas complete with a tree lighting and fireworks, the Christmas Spirit is flowing freely in ‘Ville.

Carla McDonald of the Salvation Army wants to encourage everyone who is purchasing gifts for Angel Tree tags to get them turned in as soon as possible. They are also in need of Bell Ringers, follow this link to sign up for a shift (or two).
In addition, just remember to donate when you see those Bell Ringers in front of our local stores. They will always accept cash, but they are also offering Kettle Pay this year, where you can use your phone to donate. The donation will stay local and help people in our community.
Officer Terra Avilla and her elves with Holiday with a Hero have been busy going on a few big shopping sprees to fill the lists of many local kiddos. They are still in need of funds and would welcome any donation of cash, checks, or WalMart cards. You can drop those off at the Susanville Fire Station.
There are so many ways to give back to our community this holiday season, find your niche and help contribute to the Good Stuff.
Remember when news was ‘newsy’? When you read about weddings, family events and engagement announcements in the newspaper? If you have something that might be newsworthy, please submit it to [email protected] and I’ll do my best to include it here in “The Good Stuff.”
