Summer is quickly approaching and Lassen County’s biggest summer event, the five-day County Fair, has announced its lineup of grandstand shows and events with tickets available for purchase online.
This year’s Fair, with its theme of “Barnyard Bliss with a remarkaBULL Twist” will be held July 17th through the 21st.
“The fairgrounds continues to grow each year adding to our talented list of entertainment, delicious eats, and fun for the whole family,” explains Lassen County Fair Manager Kaitlyn Midgely.
“We love getting to see parents and grandparents bond with their family over corndogs or fair rides and watching our youth develop skills they will utilize in their future as they prepare for their upcoming livestock show. Fair is more than just a week-long event, it’s a tradition!”
According to Midgely, more than 30,000 patrons attended the Lassen County Fair last year, with attendance numbers continuing to trend upwards.
“The fair is the longest-running community event in Lassen County. Not only is the fair a place for fun and great food, it is also home to one of the best displays of our youth. Local 4-H and FFA members work hard all year in preparation for the junior livestock shows that take place Wednesday through Saturday of the fair, and end the week with the junior livestock auction on Sunday.”
In addition to the many contests held at the Lassen County Fair, the annual event also attracts top talent from around the musical world to entertain fairgoers. This year’s grandstand lineup will feature some local favorites and some powerhouse country acts.
