Banner Lassen Medical Center is announcing a new volunteer program that will offer individuals a variety of experiences from administrative work to assisting in departments such as medical imaging, the gift shop and visiting with patients.
Shellie Anderson, volunteer coordinator, said it’s a win, win. “Our goal is for employees and volunteers to work together as a team to provide excellent patient experience,” Anderson said.
“Banner volunteers will donate their time and talent to make a difference in their community, helping our patients and staff.”
Banner Health volunteers provide an overall value of $21,600,000 each year, and their value to our patients is priceless.
Anderson said they plan to reach out to area high schools to help students explore a career path in the medical field.
Qualified applicants can start immediately and applications are accepted throughout the year. Â
