Travel Trailer Completely Destroyed in Early Morning Monrovia Street Fire

Engine crews from the Susanville Fire Department and Cal-Fire responded to a reported structure fire at 6 Monrovia Street early Saturday morning to find a travel trailer completely engulfed by flames and threatening an adjoining apartment complex.

Crews from Engine 621 made an aggressive fire attack to stop the fire from spreading to the apartments and the fire was extinguished at approximately 5:30a.m.

According to details provided by SFD Engineer Kalvn McFarland the travel trailer was a complete loss, and there was minor damage to the apartment building.

There were two fire engines, one ladder truck, eight firefighters and 2 chief officers working the incident.

The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
