Virginia Morrish went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in Susanville, California at the age of 91. She was born in Lennox, California on February 4, 1931, to Leroy and Thelma Armstrong. She is survived by two sons, Jeff (Susie) Morrish and Ken (Peggy) Morrish, two daughters, Phyllis (Larry) Click and Elaine (Aaron) Tonissen, eleven grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.
They moved to Nevada City, California in 1964 and lived there for almost 60 years. Virginia was a constant encouragement to family members and friends throughout her life, and ready to listen to their dreams and life journeys. She was proud to be a housewife and help her husband Jack, in their business adventures, Jack Morrish Plumbing, Brunswick Station, and construction of twenty homes in Nevada County. She enjoyed artistic endeavors, making personalized greeting cards, decorations, playing the piano and cooking. She loved cruising the seas and driving with husband Jack.
Virginia, a member of the Grass Valley United Methodist Church, prepared many Cornish pasties while supporting youth activities. She loved family gatherings and will be greatly missed.
Celebration of life will be at the First Baptist Church, 1866 Ridge Rd, Grass Valley, Ca. February 4, 2023, at 2:00pm.
