The Jr. Fishing Derby is coming up and the City of Susanville is looking for volunteers to help clean up along the river this Sunday, April 14th, from 1:00 to 4:00p.m.
According to organizer Gracie Claypool volunteers will meet at the Little League Fields at 1:00 to form a plan of action and break from there.
“At this event,” explains Claypool, “we will be picking up debris and will need at least ten people willing to weed whack.”
The City is asking that volunteers RSVP so that they can bring the proper amount of equipment. Call 252.5101 if you are interested in helping.
“Make sure to bring your friends!” says Claypool.
